Our driving instructors

Highly experienced personal trainers

As a national driving school, we take our reputation very seriously. As part of our commitment to deliver the highest quality driving tuition possible, we exclusively use fully qualified driving instructors, graded 4 or above by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA). Unlike some other driving schools, we never use trainee instructors because we don't think it is fair to charge the full lesson rate for a trainer with little experience and no professional qualifications.
Experienced driving instructors
For your safety and peace of mind, all Drivecoach instructors are CRB checked (Criminal Records Bureau) and undergo regular assessments to ensure their standard of teaching and professional conduct remains the best in the country. They are all highly experienced personal trainers who have successfully completed on average between 12 and 18 months of professional training and passed the relevant exams with the DSA, assessing their ability to teach learners like yourself.

Importance of a green badge

Before you get in the car on your first lesson it is worth checking that your instructor has a green badge displayed on the windscreen. This means that he or she is fully qualified. Some driving schools will place pupils with trainee instructors with pink badges without disclosing it, and yet charge the full lesson rate. Whilst such trainees may very well be good at their job, they won't have as much experience as their qualified colleagues.
