Automatic cars are becoming increasingly popular in the UK.
With an automatic car, you do not need to worry about changing gears and using the
clutch pedal whilst driving. Automatic cars do instead have a system in place
which senses what gear is required based on your current speed and makes
the gear change automatically.
Pros and cons
You must decide whether you wish to learn driving
and take your test in a manual or automatic car.
Learning to drive in an automatic car is easier but
has the disadvantage that once you pass, you are only
entitled to drive automatic cars. You will need to pass
yet another driving test in order to drive manual cars.
It should also be mentioned that automatic driving lessons
are generally more expensive than manual. Furthermore,
automatic cars are slightly more expensive to buy and to run.
