Our website generates hundreds of pupils per week thanks to our
internet-marketing skills and the reputation our instructors have built up over the years.
We believe that a happy instructor means happy pupils, which in turn means repeat business for us. With this
in mind, we work hard to ensure all our instructors are satisfied with the franchise and fully booked throughout
the year.
We only recruit instructors in areas where we can demonstrate an acceptable level of work.
Unlike many other driving schools, we never recruit multiple instructors in the same area unless our existing
instructor(s) are overbooked and continuously forced to turn pupils away.
As a result – and unlike most other
franchises – we are able to offer our instructors a two-way contract, where we guarantee a regular supply of
pupils in return for the weekly franchise fee paid by the instructor.

Frequently asked questions
Question 1 - Do you cover my area?
We are a nationwide driving school franchise, which means we recruit instructors throughout the UK.
If we already have one or more franchisees in your area,
we'd need to consult with them first before taking you on. Provided they are fully booked, as is normally the case,
there shouldn't be any problem.
If we don't cover your area - don't worry - it normally takes us just around 3-5 weeks from the
date you pay the registration fee until we start supplying you with pupils. By taking out a franchise in a new area,
you'll also benefit from exclusivity on all local leads and pupil referrals.
Question 2 - How many new pupils will I get from you each week?
We aim to get all our instructors fully booked within 8-12 weeks of joining.
Thereafter, we will seek to keep you fully booked, which in reality means we'll need to supply you with
on average 1-2 new pupils weekly depending on how many hours you wish to work.
As a Drivecoach franchisee, you should not be required to undertake any marketing or website activities yourself
– that is – unless you want to.
Question 3 - Can I run my own driving school alongside your franchise?
Yes, that’s exactly what our franchise package is designed for. You will remain in complete control
of your own driving school. You decide where, how and when you want to work and all monies earned are yours to keep.
Question 4 - Will you recruit more instructors in my area?
Our main responsibility is to ensure that all our instructors remain fully booked at all times.
One way of achieving this is to restrict the number of instructors per area. We therefore only look to
expand in areas where we are continuously forced to turn pupils away.
Question 5 - How does the pupil-booking process work?
We have a professional 0800 freephone booking line through which all new pupils are booked straight into your diary. You
will instantly receive a text message to your mobile with all relevant booking details including the pupil's address, mobile,
landline and the date and time for the first lesson. You only need to contact the pupil if you wish to reschedule the lesson.
To further streamline the booking process, we have developed
an easy-to-use online diary system, which you can log into at any time
to update your bookings and let us know about your availability for the days and weeks ahead.
Question 6 - What business support is provided?
We will be in regular contact with you to discuss your business needs and how the
franchise is performing. We are available by phone 7 days a week should you require advice on issues ranging
from car servicing and check tests to financial planning and continued professional development (CPD).
As part of our business support, we also post each pupil a welcome pack containing useful advice for the theory -and practical tests,
as well as illustrated "show me, tell me" question and answer sheets.
Question 7 - Can I meet up with other local Drivecoach instructors?
Most definitely. In areas where we have multiple instructors we regularly organise local gatherings so that everyone in the team gets to know each other.
Such gatherings are a great opportunity to discuss any ideas you might have or issues related to your business with fellow instructors in a friendly
and relaxed atmosphere of a pub or restaurant.
