Drivecoach is one of the UK's fastest growing and most successful driving school franchises. We pride ourselves on providing a highly personalized service to each and every one of our instructors, tailored around their specific needs and objectives. Our website generates thousands of pupil enquiries weekly thanks to our marketing skills and the solid reputation we've built up over the years.

We believe that a happy instructor means happy pupils, which in turn means repeat business for us. With this in mind, we work hard to ensure all our instructors are satisfied with the franchise and fully booked throughout the year.

We only recruit instructors in areas where we can demonstrate an acceptable level of work. Unlike many other driving schools, we never recruit multiple instructors in the same area unless our existing instructor(s) are overbooked and continuously forced to turn pupils away. As a result, we are able to offer our instructors a two-way contract where we guarantee a minimum supply of pupils in return for the weekly franchise fee paid by the instructor.

Key benefits

	Unlimited pupils - We'll provide you with a continuous supply of new pupils, helping you build a local client base in your area.
	Contractual guarantee of work - We'll commit to provide you a minimum of 50 pupils per year on the full-time franchise and 25 pupils on the part-time package.
	6 week build-up period - Giving you time to build your business and generate a regular income. Your franchise fee won't rise above 50 percent unless we have supplied you at least 5 customers for the full-time franchise and at least 3 customers for the part-time franchise.
	Two weeks holiday per year (incl. last week of December) - Take a break from teaching without having to worry about paying the franchise fee.
	One month rolling contract after initial 3 months - With us, you won’t be tied into a 6 month or 12 month contract. We only ask of you to allow us 3 months initially so that we have a fair chance to demonstrate what we can do. If not satisfied, you can exit the franchise with only 28 days notice anytime thereafter.
	Streamlined pupil booking process - Thanks to our simple online diary system, pupils can be slotted straight into your diary whether you are at home, out working or on holiday. You immediately receive a text notification to your mobile with all the booking details and the pupil's contact information.
	Full office support - Accepting card payments from pupils, re-scheduling lessons on your behalf, booking practical tests, chasing pupils for unpaid lessons - and much more - is all part of our service.
	Targeted marketing campaigns - Including sponsored listings on search engines (Google, Bing and Yahoo) as well as focused social networking campaigns on Facebook and Twitter.

At Drivecoach, we understand that every instructor has his/her own unique set of needs and objectives. Whether you wish to work fifteen or fifty hours per week, use your own tuition vehicle or need to have one supplied, we have the perfect franchise package to suit your needs!

Our all-inclusive franchise starts from only £120.00 per week including car and insurance. The car will be arranged through our affiliated leasing company, letting you choose from a Vauxhall Corsa, Ford Fiesta, Peugeot 207, Citroen C3, or any other model provided it complies with our requirements.

Frequently asked questions


	Question 1 - Do you cover my area? As a nationwide driving school franchise we recruit instructors throughout the UK. If we already have one or more franchisees in your area, we'd need to consult with them first before taking you on. Provided they are fully booked, as is normally the case, there shouldn't be any problem. If we don't cover your area - don't worry - it normally takes us just around 2 weeks to start supplying you with work. By taking out a franchise in a new area you'll also benefit from exclusivity on all local leads and pupil referrals.
	Question 2 - How many new pupils will I get from you each week? Assuming that you're starting with an empty diary, we'd target getting you fully booked within 10 weeks of joining. In reality this means supplying you with on average 2-3 pupils per week until you've achieved the number of hours per week that you wish to work. Thereafter, we'll ensure you remain fully booked, referring new pupils to you on an "as needed" basis to replenish the ones you loose. As a Drivecoach franchisee, you should not be required to undertake any marketing or website activities yourself – that is – unless you want to.
	Question 3 - Can I run my own driving school alongside your franchise? Yes, that’s exactly what our franchise package is designed for. You will remain in complete control of your own driving school. You decide where, how and when you want to work and all monies earned are yours to keep.
	Question 4 - Will you recruit more instructors in my area? Our main responsibility is to ensure that all our instructors remain fully booked at all times. One way of achieving this is to restrict the number of instructors per area. We therefore only look to expand in areas where we are continuously forced to turn pupils away.
	Question 5 - How does the pupil-booking process work? We have developed an easy-to-use online diary system which you can log into at any time to notify us of your availability for the days and weeks ahead. New bookings are taken by us either by phone or online through our website, in which case we always contact the pupil to confirm their booking first. Once the booking is confirmed, you will receive a text message with the pupil's contact details and the time and date of the first lesson.
	Question 6 - What business support is provided? Your dedicated advisor will be in regular contact with you to discuss your business needs and how the franchise is performing. We are available by phone 7 days a week should you require advice on issues ranging from car servicing and check tests to financial planning and continued professional development (CPD).
	Question 7 - Can I meet up with other local Drivecoach instructors? Most definitely. In areas where we have multiple instructors we regularly organise local gatherings so that everyone in the team gets to know each other. Such gatherings are a great opportunity to discuss any ideas you might have or issues related to your business with fellow instructors in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere of a pub or restaurant.
